AVIRA for Android SecuritY

Avira will launch two new products for Android in Q1-2012: Avira Android Security Beta and Avira Android Security. Both are free-of-charge and will be available for Android 2.2 and 2.3.

In order to protect users’ privacy, Avira Android Security intends to provide a set of anti-theft functions. After installing and configuring our product on an Android device, the user can get information about his device directly via the product’s Web Console. At the same time, the user can carry out certain actions on the device through the Web Console, for instance, location tracking, wiping private data on the phone and so on.

The forthcoming Avira Android Security Beta is making good progress. We are now in the integration process. Although there might still be some slight changes, we would like to give you an early glimpse of the new product. So take a look at some screenshots from Avira Android Security.
